Research at ESSL is motivated by the current climate of increasing cyber attacks, increasing digitization of traditionally-mechanical domains, as well as the need to assure the reliability of safety-critical systems. Our research centers around studying the intersection of security and real-time constraints in cyber-physical systems.
An embedded device is any small-form-factor computing device that has low memory, processing and storage capability, and is often part of a bigger digital system.
